Take ownership
As the International Expansion Specialist, you will own the strategic planning and execution of bunq's entry into new global markets.
Co-own and align the strategic roadmap for expanding to new markets (such as the UK, US, Canada, Mexico, and key European countries) in close collaboration with our Regulatory Expansion team.
Identify and define the key product requirements and strategic partners necessary to establish a solid, competitive presence and deliver a true local banking experience in target markets.
Scope, plan, and oversee the end-to-end implementation of the product developments required for market entry, aligning with our acquisition teams to ensure a successful launch and sustained growth.
This challenge is perfect for you if
Deep expertise in international payment technologies and cross-border financial product infrastructure.
Proven experience building and expanding complex financial products into new international markets.
Strong familiarity with the diverse banking and payment regulatory requirements in different global markets (e.g., Europe, North America).
An established and active network within the global payments and fintech industry.
Proven, result-driven project management skills, with a talent for anticipating and mitigating roadblocks in complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English.
