We're looking for a Chief Financial Officer who can build a world-class, SaaS-driven financial model to power our global expansion. You won’t just be keeping the books; you’ll be the strategic engine ensuring our technology breaks boundaries while driving profitable, sustainable growth.
This isn't your typical CFO role. We need a leader who can get their hands dirty and build from the ground up.

Forget a long list of duties. Here are the core missions you'll own from day one:
Build & Scale the Financial Engine: Design and implement a SaaS commercial model for bunq Tech that drives profitability and efficiency. You will own the P&L, providing real-time performance tracking and absolute clarity on our unit economics.
Lead Automation-First Finance Operations: Eliminate manual work. You will build a highly automated finance stack using ERPs, data warehouses, and APIs to create a lean, scalable financial operation that moves as fast as our code.
Drive Ruthless Capital Efficiency: Optimize every dollar spent. You will manage large engineering, cloud, and vendor budgets with measurable ROI, ensuring we allocate capital with economic rigor and a clear return.
Enable Rock-Solid Governance: As we scale globally, you will implement the transfer pricing, financial controls, and reporting structures necessary to support our multi-license model and ensure regulatory independence.
This challenge is perfect for you if
You have deep expertise in SaaS and platform economics (ARR/MRR, LTV/CAC, gross margin) and know how to price and monetize technology both internally and externally.
You are fluent in tech finance, with a proven track record of managing large engineering and cloud budgets with a focus on clear ROI and unit economics.
You have an automation-first mindset and a history of building automated finance stacks, not manual teams.
You're a strategic operator, able to zoom out to high-level strategy and capital allocation, then immediately zoom in to the finest details of a P&L statement.
You are ready to be in our Amsterdam office and have a deep understanding of what it takes to run safe and sound operations.
