Take ownership
As bunq's Head of Financial Risk, you'll lead the second line of defense maintain first line ownerships within Finance and Treasury, helping us prevent any potential disruptions and losses, in our quest to Make Life Easy for our users. You will do that by:
Monitoring bunq's sensitivities to market interest rate, and the interest rate hedging activities undertaken by the Treasury team
Ensuring that we fulfill our promise to our users; that their funds will be accessible to them when they'd like 🏦
Building and executing market and liquidity risk management frameworks to manage our risks

You are motivated to challenge the status-quo and traditional banks - affinity with fintech is a big plus 👩🏻💻
You care deeply about being user-centric as we are.
You have extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for managing market and liquidity risk 📈
You have technical expertise in VaR, IRRBB, and non-maturing deposits modeling
You carry with you the ability to define and run integrated stress tests across various risk domains 🧪
Good understanding of ICAAP and ILAAP processes - and with that, the know-how on guiding the company in calculating Pillar 2 requirements
You can make decision based on data, and can articulate logic behind decisions and policies
Leading and building teams come naturally to you - especially leading your team to navigate through time-sensitive, high-pressure issues 🗣️
You are an excellent communicator and speak English fluently - any additional European languages (German 🇩🇪, Dutch🇳🇱, French🇫🇷) are always helpful!

Your journey
How do you become a bunqer? It all starts with a few quick tests that allow us to determine if bunq is a fit for you. If the results show that we’re a match on these fronts, we take it a step further and explore specific roles together. Before we decide on making you an offer, you’ll get a chance to show your skills on your Get Shit Done day.
What to expect from the tests
To kick off your application, we’ll first help you check if bunq is the right environment for you to succeed. Our bunq assessment takes approximately 30 minutes and includes 2 tests: an abstract reasoning test and a personality test (MBTI). If we match here, we’ll move on to the next test - this is related to your skills, and differs per role.
