At bunq, we work to Make Life Easy for our users, and this includes providing them with seamless user experience in their native language. As a Freelance German Translator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering clear, engaging, and locally relevant copy that empowers our users to achieve their goals without any friction. 

In this role you are expected to contribute an average of ±20 hours per week. This can very between weeks with low workload (±10 hours), up to weeks with a larger workload (±40 hours). This is usually planned and known in advance.

Take ownership
In this role you will:

• Craft and localize content: Write and optimize localized content for German-speaking users. Ensure the copy is accurate, engaging, and aligned with bunq’s tone of voice.
• Maintain brand consistency: Ensure the German copy aligns with bunq’s overall brand tone of voice while resonating with the local audience.
  

• You are fluent in both German (C1 or native) and English (C1).
• You have proven expertise in translating specialized English to German content, with an eye for details.
• You are a German-speaking country native, giving you an in-depth understanding of the germanic culture and language nuances.
• You are user-oriented, with an understanding of our German users, ideally being a bunq user yourself.
