Starting off strong with the backpack: consider it yours. It’s filled with items that each have a different meaning, similar to you; a person carrying a backpack filled with experiences, stories, hopes and dreams that make you you ⭐ ️ We never asked for your background or what stories your personal backpack was filled with, where you came from, what you studied or how many years of experience you had. All we cared about was your capacity to get shit done and solve REAL problems, and you’ve proven this to us again and again. We relied on your backpack and here we are!

First and foremost, we care about Eva’s safety and security. She trusts us with her sensitive information so we really can’t mess up on our commitment to her safety & security. It’s the reason we’re so strict with our NDAs (like the one you signed for your GSD-day), have each Adam complete the banking oath, and also why we have GT-ing! What’s that you ask? GT stands for Gin & Tonic, yes - also at bunq. We always lock our laptop like it’s hot 🔥 when walking away from it. Even if it’s just for a brief moment, if an Adam catches your laptop unguarded they can GT it 👀 This means that a message goes out to all Adams that you're treating your peers to Gin & Tonic at the next Friday Weekly. Cheers!

After all, we’re one giant team, working on a broad range of projects, all at the same time! To keep the pace, we’re running a tight ship with clear ways of working ⛵️ This means that we communicate effectively, have working days from 0900 - 1800 LOC (local time), and update our status in Slack everyday with our location. The cookies are a sweet reminder that while we do cut each other some slack, we never cut corners when it comes to showing up. Let’s say you’re late one day because we get it: shit happens. We have a Late(R) form to fill in that informs your Team Lead of your reason and your ETA so we know exactly from what time onwards we can start counting on you 💡
