This is where you come in!

Take Ownership

As Operational Risk Specialist Product at bunq, you’ll own the PARP to help Product Owners identify and mitigate issues in time for launch by:

  • Continuously improving the PARP in the Product Process.

  • Supporting and challenging Product Owners during their completion of the PARP questionnaire to identify potential risks and ensuring Product Owners apply necessary mitigations for any risks exceeding bunq’s Risk Appetite.

  • Ensuring the PARP process is governed by formal procedures with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. Coordinate with the 2nd line (Risk & Compliance) to provide an independent risk assessment.

This challenge is perfect for you if

  • You have a good grasp of how a financial services business operates, including knowledge of deposits, payments, investments, and other financial products.

  • You understand the regulatory environment in which banks operate and are knowledgeable about key guidelines such as those from the EBA (e.g., CRD, PSD2).

  • You are passionate about technology and understand the basic workings of web applications, including backend, frontend, APIs, and third-party integrations.

  • You are an excellent communicator in English

Your journey

How do you become a bunqer? It all starts with a few quick tests that allow us to determine if bunq is a fit for you. If the results show that we’re a match on these fronts, we take it a step further and explore specific roles together.

What to expect from the tests

To kick off  your application, we’ll first help you check if bunq is the right environment for you to succeed. Our bunq fit assessment takes approximately 20 minutes and includes 2 sections: a culture fit scan and a cognitive abilities test. If we match, we’ll move on to the next test where you'll get to prove your role-specific skills.
